LenguaZen

For intermediate learners who understand the language but can't speak it yet.

LenguaZen preview

The problem

Most language apps are built for beginners, but most learners are stuck just past that. They can read, they can follow a conversation, but ask them to actually say something and it falls apart. Understanding a language and producing it are different skills, and almost nothing out there trains the second one.

What it is

LenguaZen is a learning platform for intermediate Spanish, French, and Italian, built around a healthy balance of both input and output. You talk to an AI tutor in real time, write journal entries and get them corrected, listen to native-speed podcasts with synced transcripts, and pull in YouTube videos with tap-to-translate. Every word you encounter, anywhere in the app, lands in one word bank with spaced review. The word you heard in a podcast on Monday comes up in your conversation practice on Tuesday.

Where it is

Live at lenguazen.com, with a seven-day free trial on every plan. Everything in the app now feeds the word bank. My main focus now is shortening the gap between encountering a new word and getting to use it.
